Hello Yelpers, I'm working in the Boyle Heights Area and always looking for a restaurant for good food and coffee! I came across La Michoacana Restaurant. I ordered Machaca plate and coffee. Little did I know the coffee was made with cinnamon it was so good ! The machaca meat was tender not over nor under cooked perfect to my palate !! Rice was soft and beans had its authentic taste none of that can beans. iYKYK - kind of thing. I ordered tortilla de maíz ! The server said they were handmade !!!! They were soooo good ! Soft not chewy ! The food and the coffee sure get my 5 starts ! Our server was very attentive had our drinks topped off ! Great personality and patient since the pictures of the food were mouth watering and I didn't know what to pick !!! Some restaurants even big chains get bothered when you have them wait or come back and still deciding. Not our server he was really kind and smiling and again attentive . The ambience was clean, cool comfortable temperature. Great food great service great ambience !!
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was fast.Booths are nice and clean. Food was really fresh. Be prepared to wait but it's worth it. Flautas de pollo are crunchy and rice and beans are fresh and flavorful as well. Cafe de olla was delicious! This is a great spot!!
First time coming here. It was delicious got the machaca con huevo with beans and white rice. Everything taste authentic. The tortillas echas a manos are very delicious. Service was excellent. The restaurant is very well maintained. Will definitely come back.
Food was delicious. I got the camarones a La diabla and my mom got the cocktel de camaron.
Went to this little hole in the wall for the first time, really enjoyed the food only reason I didn't give it a five stars is that the food was not as spicy as I like it and there were no chips and salsa The cafe de la olla didn't have any pilonzio and then there was an extra dollar charge for each plate if you ate after 11:00 but over all really enjoyed the food
Just a short walk from Whites memorial hospital offer both mexican and american breakfasts and usual for lunch dinner,tacos birritos plates soups etc What is unusual is the high quality of the food and the kind solicitous staff..check these guys out..worth a drive from dtla
I come here for the HORCHATA $4 big cup and it's worth it!! Every time I come the employees are very friendly and they always use protective gear and face masks, parking sometimes can be a hassle but I usually will just Walk it as I'm not far, it is a small place so you may have to wait a bit in line but it's worth it.
